DEVELOPMENT WOMEN’S NATIONAL TEAM OPEN TRYOUTS TO BE HELD JUNE 6TH
Fabian McKenzie Returns as Development Women’s Head Coach

TORONTO, ON (May 18, 2016) - Canada Basketball’s Women’s High Performance will conduct open tryouts for the 2016 Development program Friday, June 6^th at University of Toronto Mississauga, Mississauga ON.

The Open ID is open to Canadian female athletes born January 1, 1997 or later who have a valid Canadian passport. Players will be assessed by national team coaches and those selected will be officially invited to try out for the Development team from June 7-9.

The Women’s Development team will travel to Europe to participate in exhibition competition from June 18-26.The Development team will once again be coached by Fabian McKenzie, along with assistants Michele Belanger, and Jeff Speedy.

Eligible athletes interested in participating in the 2016 WNTP ‘Open ID’ must pre-register here and send the completed registration and insurance forms to Canada Basketball Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 6:00pm ET by fax (416).614.9570 or e-mail womenhp@basketball.ca.

Please note: All costs to attend and participate in the ‘Open ID session’ are the athletes’ responsibility. Athletes are also responsible for their insurance to participate
