Perimeter Trio of Logan Stewart, Dorian Glogovac, and Frank Linder Power U17 Boys to Final, Saturday, August 10.
BC's U17 Boys team avenged a tournament opening loss to Alberta in the semi-final to reach the Gold Medal game for the first time since 2006. This is BC's third appearance in the Gold Medal match following appearances in 2006 and 2004. BC shot 44% from 3, along with going 21 for 25 (84%) from the Free Throw line in the win. Stewart led all BC scorers with 23 points while Glogovac contributed 20 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Additionally, Frank Linder dropped 15 points for BC on 63% shooting from the floor.
BC's previous U17 National Championship game appearances were led by Canadian Senior National Team alumni Rob Sacre (2006) and Tyler Kepkay (2004).
The U15 Boys and Girls and U17 Girls teams will compete for Bronze!
