The UBC Thunderbirds will welcome the country's best teams when it hosts the CIS Men's Basketball National Championship tournament March 17 - 20, 2016 at Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre. This marks the first time in 44 years that the university has had the opportunity to host Canada's national basketball championships and it’s the first time in 33 years that the tournament has made it’s way out west.
