2026 NexGen Athlete Development Camps

Basketball BC is hosting a series of athlete development camps in 2026. 

The following camps are open to boys and girls in grades 6-8 (born 2012-2014) and grades 9-12 (born in 2008-2011) or 9-11 (born in 2009-2011):

  • Pick and Roll Camp - work with coaches to develop your skill set playing out of ball screens
  • Finishing School Camp - build up your toolbox and understand the why and when of applying different finishes and reads based off the defense 
  • Shooting Camp - build, and expand on, a solid foundation to become a knock down shooter
  • Playmaker Academy - work to understand the why behind the play and the skills and processes needed to make the right play at the right time

Each camp is limited to 30 participants.  

Fee: $60 (+ GST)

NexGen Vancouver Island Spring Break Camp

Basketball BC is hosting a series of holiday camps on Vancouver Island, during Spring Break, March 23-26.

The following camps are open to boys and girls in grades 6-8 (born 2012-2014) and grades 9-12 (born in 2008-2011):

Complete Player Camp
The complete player camp is an opportunity for players to review and continue to build all facets of their game.  Camp includes ball handling, shooting, finishing, and individual defensive fundamentals.  

Shooting Academy
Building off the foundations of Basketball BC’s NexGen Shooting Camp, athletes will revieve the foundations of their shot and work to build consistency and confidence in competitive situations. 

Finishing and Playmaking
Combining the best of Basketball BC’s Finishing School and Playmaking Academy, athletes will build up your toolbox and understand the why and when of applying different finishes and reads based off the defense while combining decision making and creating for teammates into the development process.

Gold Medal Camp
Basketball BC’s Gold Medal Camps are advanced camps for experienced players.  Based on Basketball BC and Canada Basketball’s player development model, athletes focus on fundamental skill development, leadership, and competition through station and group drills combined with game play. 

 

Each camp is limited to 30 participants.

Registering with a mobile device may result in an incomplete registration.
Payment is by valid bank credit card only.  This registration system does not accept debit cards or pre-loaded credit cards.

PLEASE REGISTER BEFORE THE DEADLINE AS REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE DOOR
In accordance with Basketball BC policy, all participants must be preregistered (for the correct tryout/clinic/program) to attend each specific Basketball BC tryout/clinic/program.  

PLEASE SELECT THE CORRECT REGISTRATION
A registration list for each specific tryout/clinic/program will be used to confirm the participants.  Only those individuals on each specific registration list will be allowed to participate.  Basketball BC is not responsible for any user errors which may result in an individual being excluded from participating in the tryout/clinic/program if the individual is not on the registration list.

REGISTRATIONS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE
If the individual is registered for the wrong tryout/clinic/program, the individual will need to be registered for the correct tryout/clinic/program before the stated registration deadline.  Please send a refund request for the original registration to Basketball BC.  An administration fee will be charged in accordance with our Refund Policy.

 

REGISTRATION COMPLETION/EMAIL CONFIRMATION

If the registration (and payment) is completed successfully, there will be a REGISTRATION COMPLETE! MESSAGE after submitting the credit card information AND an EMAIL CONFIRMATION WILL BE SENT to the account holder (Parent if account is for a child).  The email may be sent to a "junk" folder depending on the email filter - please check that the junk folder is not set to "auto delete".

IF THERE IS A BLANK SCREEN after submitting the credit card information AND THE EMAIL CONFIRMATION IS NOT RECEIVED, the REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT MAY NOT HAVE COMPLETED.  Do not try to register again.  Wait a day and try again.
