Youth Program Membership for Clubs
Starting with the 2021-22 membership season, Basketball BC is offering a Membership for Clubs. Team Registration is no longer available.
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS:

Insurance coverage for basketball activities sanctioned by Basketball BC. This does not include coverage for tryouts, camps, and/or hosted events (tournaments or inter club leagues). Coverage for tryouts and camps can be purchased separately.

- Liability and sport accident coverage for athletes and coaches
- Liability coverage for directors, officers and volunteers
- Athlete support funding for sanctioned programs from KidSport and other funding organziations
- Discounted and priority entry to Basketball BC team events and programs
- Member club and program advertisement on Basketball BC website
- Discounted hosting of private coaching clinics
- Discounted clinic fee for member club coaches at Basketball BC hosted coaching clinics
- Ability to fundraise for eligible projects and possible access to applicable grants and funding opportunities
- Access to Coaches Clipboard for member club coaches
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

Complete and submit the Basketball BC Youth Program Membership Application for Clubs on an annual basis. Required with application submission for 2021-22, is the Club’s Return to Sport Plan (with safety protocols) and samples of waivers. NOTE: The plans and waivers are for file purposes only. Basketball BC is not responsible for reviewing/approving the plans.
- Basketball BC’s membership season is April 1- March 31

Submit membership data of ALL Club athletes, coaches, and volunteeers and pay the prescribed annual membership dues.
- Competitive Athlete Membership: $15/athlete + GST
- Development Program Athlete Membership: $7.50/athlete + GST
- Jr. NBA Program: Fee determined by Canada Basketball
- Club Coaches: No charge for coach memberships, however a Basketball BC Coach membership is required for BBC events and programs
- Club Volunteers (including directors, officers, and owner-operators): No charge
- To agree to be governed by and to follow applicable Basketball BC Bylaws and SafeSport policies.

Commit to minimum coaching education requirements.
- For all development and competitive coaches: Safe Sport online course, a free 90-minute online course offered by the Coaching Association of Canada.
- Competitive Team Coaches: Trained status for the applicable NCCP level
- Acknowledge the club affiliation with Basketball BC on the club’s website or social media page, and display the Basketball BC logo.
Membership applications for the 2021-22 season are being accepted now.
