On behalf of Basketball BC, I am proud to share a report that highlights the powerful and lasting impact of the KidSport program for our Basketball BC Club Members during the 2024 calendar year.
We are incredibly proud of the role KidSport continues to play in helping remove financial barriers for basketball families across our province.
In 2024 alone:
- 163 kids from Basketball BC Club Member programs across BC received KidSport funding to participate in a season of basketball.
- $56,730 was distributed by KidSport chapters across BC to support these athletes.
Since 2009, KidSport has provided $676,000 in funding to 2,982 Basketball BC Club Member youth—a testament to the shared commitment to making sport accessible to all.
It’s important to note: KidSport funding is available exclusively to Basketball BC Club Members, reinforcing the value of being part of our provincial basketball community.
We extend our sincere thanks to KidSport BC, its local chapters, and the many donors and volunteers who continue to make this impact possible. Together, we’re ensuring more kids have the opportunity to play, grow, and thrive through basketball.
