January 16th, 2026Announcement: Head Coach for the 2026 U17 Boys Team BC

Boys High Performance Managar Matthew McKay is pleased to announce the appointment of Jamie Oei as Head Coach for the 2026 U17 Boys Provincial Team.

Coach Oei has extensive experience at the the collegiate level, where he currently serves as an Assistant Coach with the UBC men’s team and includes winning a CCAA National Championship with Douglas College in 2008. Coach Oei is also active in the High School and clubs basketball scenes, currently coaching the Varsity Boys at Argyle Secondary, after leading their JV team to a 2nd place finish in 2025, and heading Vancity Basketball Academy.

The full U17 staff, as well as U14, U15, and U16 staffs will be announced in the coming weeks.
