November 30th, 2025Basketball BC Welcomes Mitch Goodwin as 2026 Summer Games Coordinator for Kelowna

Basketball BC is pleased to announce Mitch Goodwin as the Summer Games Coordinator for the 2026 Kelowna Games. Mitch has a strong background in basketball leadership and event management, having founded GW Hoops and directed its leagues, camps, and club teams. He also serves as League Commissioner for the Okanagan Basketball League and recently managed operations for the Junior All Native Tournament, one of Canada’s largest Indigenous youth basketball events.

Mitch’s experience includes coordinating logistics for large-scale tournaments, building partnerships with schools and community organizations, and fostering inclusive environments for athletes. He previously coached at UBC Okanagan and holds a Bachelor of Human Kinetics, specializing in Health Promotion and Population Health.

With his organizational expertise and dedication to advancing basketball in British Columbia, Mitch is set to deliver a memorable and well-run Summer Games experience in Kelowna. Basketball BC looks forward to the positive impact he will bring to the 2026 Games.
