MEMBERSHIP SEASON - September 1 to August 31

Membership applications for the 2024-25 membership season running September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025 will be accepted starting August 12. 2024.

Insurance coverage for member club basketball activities sanctioned by Basketball BC.

- Liability and sport accident coverage for athlete and coach members - when participating with your club
- Liability coverage for director, officer and volunteer members
Athlete support funding for sanctioned programs from KidSport and other funding organizations
Discounted and priority entry to Basketball BC team events and programs
Member club and program advertisement on Basketball BC website
Discounted hosting of private coaching clinics
Discounted clinic fee for member club coaches at Basketball BC hosted coaching clinics
Possible access to applicable grants and funding opportunities
Access to Basketball BC Scholarships for athlete members

Complete and submit the Basketball BC Club Membership Application on an annual basis.
Submit membership data of ALL Club athletes, coaches, and volunteers and pay the prescribed annual fees.
- Competitive Team - $20/athlete + GST
  - NOTE: Competitive Team athletes receive a FULL Basketball BC Athlete membership valued at $25/athlete which can be used when registering for Basketball BC programs and team events
- Development Program
  - All Athletes (non-competitive) - $8/athlete + GST
  - All Club Coaches - $8/coach is waived
    - NOTE: a Basketball BC Coach membership ($25/coach + GST) will be required for participation in Basketball BC coaching clinics or team events
  - All Club Volunteers - $8/volunteer is waived
    - includes all Club Directors, Officers, and Owner-Operators
- Jr. NBA Program: Fee determined by Canada Basketball
To agree to be governed by the Basketball BC Bylaws and to follow the applicable SafeSport policies.
Commit to minimum coaching education requirements:
- All development and competitive coaches must complete one of:
  - Safe Sport online course, a free 90-minute online course offered by the Coaching Association of Canada.
  - Commit to Kids course, a free 23-minute online course offered by the Coaching Association of Canada.
- Competitive Team Coaches: Trained status for the applicable NCCP level
Acknowledge the club affiliation with Basketball BC on the club’s website or social media page, and display the Basketball BC logo.
