Train to Train (T2T) Program – “TRAINED”

This program is:

for the coach who works with athletes aged 11-15 years of age
2 – 8 hours sessions which include LTAD, making ethical decisions, practice planning, teaching strategies, mental training, skill development and development of offensive and defensive

It is recommended that the coach has “Trained” and “Certified” status for NCCP Basketball Learn to Train prior to taking the NCCP Basketball Train to Train course as it is a required for certification.

After completing this program, the coach will have NCCP Basketball Train to Train - “Trained” status.

Clinic Fee: $200 + GST (includes program material)

Train to Train (T2T) Program - “CERTIFIED”

To become “Certified” for this program, the coach will:

have NCCP Basketball Learn to Train – “Certified” status and have NCCP Basketball Train to Train – “Trained” status;
request the Coach Portfolio and NCCP Evaluation registration link from the Manager, Coach Education
register for the NCCP Evaluation (at the link provided)
complete the Coach Portfolio and submit it to the Manager, Coach Education for evaluation
receive acceptance of the Coach Portfolio from the Manager, Coach Education
pass an evaluation of the coach’s practice (evaluated by a provincial evaluator)
pass the NCCP on-line Making Ethical Decisions exam

Evaluation Fee: $150 + GST (includes Coach Portfolio and Practice evaluations)

Train to Train (T2T) Competency Challenge Program – “CERTIFIED”

This program is:

for the coach who has NCCP Basketball Learn to Train – “Certified” status or equivalent (old NCCP Level II or III) and sufficient knowledge and experience to challenge the NCCP Basketball Train to Train program

NCCP COURSE CHALLENGE MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the NCCP Basketball Train to Train Competency Challenge program, please provide the following information to the Manager, Coach Education

old NCCP program status; and
coaching experience/history – the coach will need a minimum of 3 to 5 years coaching experience and to have demonstrated additional training i.e. attendance and participation at coaching clinics and/or seminars

If the coach receives approval to proceed with the Trained to Train Competency Challenge program, the Coach Portfolio and NCCP Competency Challenge registration link will be emailed to the coach.

To complete the “Certified” status for this program, the coach will:

complete the Coach Portfolio and submit it to the Manager, Coach Education for evaluation
receive acceptance of the Coach Portfolio from the Manager, Coach Education
pass an evaluation of the coach’s practice (evaluated by a provincial evaluator)
pass the NCCP on-line Making Ethical Decisions exam

Competency Challenge Fee: $325 + GST (includes program material and Coach Portfolio and Practice evaluations)

Maintenance of Certfication
