July 16th, 2026Team BC Alumni Representing Canada on the International Stage This Summer

Surrey, BC – Team BC is proud to celebrate several alumni who have earned the opportunity to represent Canada in international basketball competition this summer.

Jordyn Nohr and Ashley Vande Ven have been selected to Canada’s U17 Women’s National Team and are competing at the FIBA U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup in Czechia. Their selection reflects years of dedication and development and provides an opportunity to compete against the world’s top young basketball talent.

On the men’s side, Nylan Roberts, Tyler Felt, and Cole Bekkering will represent Canada at the FIBA 3x3 U21 Nations League event in Paraguay. The trio will showcase their skills in the fast-paced 3x3 format while competing against some of the best emerging players from around the world.

“We are incredibly proud of Jordyn, Ashley, Nylan, Tyler, and Cole for earning the opportunity to wear the maple leaf and represent Canada on the international stage,” said Executive Director Matthew McKay. “Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, commitment, and the strength of basketball development in British Columbia.”
