Basketball BC - December 2015

Basketball BC offices will be closed for the holidays from
December 21 and reopening January 4, 2014. Wishing you all a safe and happy holiday season.

Memberships

All current athlete and coaches memberships, valid until March 31, 2016, will be closing December 31, 2015. 
New membership registration for 2016-2017 begins on February 1, 2016.

 

NBA All-Star 2016

TORONTO - The NBA announced a nationwide All-Star 2016 program that will bring the excitement of All-Star to 14 Canadian cities in 10 provinces from November through February 2016. For more on these exciting events click here.

Athletes

Grade 7 & 8 ATHLETES EXCLUSIVE TRAINING:

Enhance your skills this winter while surrounding yourself with some of BC's best athletes & coaches. Athletes will be selected from this camp to participate in additional programming in 2016. More info and $75 registration only available ONLINE

For the first time in 44 years, UBC Vancouver will be hosting the CIS Men's Final 8 Championships. Watch and experience the exciting atmosphere as Canada's top 8 Men's basketball teams compete at Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre March 17 - 20, 2016. Tournament packages available online.

Basketball BC is excited to announce another Youth Basketball Coaching Summit in conjunction with the larger overall Multi-Sport BC Sport Conference, featuring high profile athletes and experienced coaches and mentors. A few featured speakers include: 
  • Ashleigh McIvor Demerit - Skicross world champion & Olympic gold medalist) 
  • Jay DeMerit - Former Vancouver Whitecaps Captain) and experienced coaches and mentors.
  • Trevor Ragan - Founder of Train Ugly. Motor learning and performance science research specialist.
