September 5th, 2023Basketball BC Appoints Alex Gruneberg as Coordinator of Officials

Basketball BC is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Gruneberg as the new Coordinator of Officials, succeeding Matt Goble who has served in this role for the past year. Alex will begin September 6, 2023, and work closely with the Executive Director and Chair, Officials from the Board of Directors to provide administrative support to the Basketball BC Officials Committee.

Alex has been a BC Basketball Officials since 2016 and has officiated for USport (Canada West), NCAA Division II Women, and the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association. She served as a member at large for 2 years with the Kamloops Basketball Officials and served on the BC Basketball Officials Committee for one year. She has demonstrated skill and knowledge of the rules, but also a passion for the growth and improvement of officiating in British Columbia.

Basketball BC would like to extend its appreciation to Matt Goble for his service and contributions during his tenure as Coordinator of Officials. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
