June 2nd, 2015Strathcona U18 Girls Team are NACBAIT National Champions

Last weekend, the Vancouver Strathcona team represented the City of Vancouver as the only team from B.C. and the Western Canadian region at the North American Chinese Basketball Championships in Montreal. Playing on the Vancouver Strathcona basketball team, these group of nine girls competed against teams from Philadelphia, New York and Toronto and came home as the inaugural U18 Girls NACBAIT National Champions.

Cecilia Bao (Churchill) picked up a tournament all-star and Julian Duong (Britannia) was selected as the Most Valuable Player. In addition to some great basketball, we brushed up on our français and SS10 curriculum as we explored Old Montreal and got the royal tour at McGill University! We even snuck in a few study sessions.
