Basketball BC would like to thank the Toronto Raptors and NBA Canada for a week of great events. Hundreds of kids and coaches were able to improve, connect, and most importantly have a great time at a series of players and coaches clinics throughout the week. Honorary guest speakers James Worthy and Antonio Davis passed on invaluable knowledge about the game, their story, and even stepped on the hardwood to run through some drills with some of our players. On behalf of the basketball community, it was truly an honor to listen to you speak as peers. As part of the NBA Cares platform the NBA recognizes that basketball will always begin at the grassroots level. In what may have been the most exciting part of the week, the Raptors unveiled a refurbished court at Thunderbird Community Centre; leaving a lasting impact on the local community for years to come. To cap off the week the Raptors put on a show at Rogers Arena in front of a buzzing sold out crowd of ecstatic fans.
