July 30th, 2024In Memorial Malcolm Duncan McCallum Basketball BC Hall of Fame 2009

It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Malcolm Duncan McCallum, fondly known as Duncan, on July 11, 2024.

Duncan coached at Langara from 1970-1991. He had a 70% college coaching win average and is one win shy of 500 wins. He led Langara to ten 0Provincial Championship titles including 7 consecutive titles from 1974-1980. He had 5 National Championship silver medals.

Duncan won the Order of the Falcon Award, in recognition of dedication, integrity, respect & excellence to the Langara Athletics program from Langara in 2002 . He has a Scholarship named after him, DUNCAN MCCALLUM ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP for students who are enrolled at Langara College.
