A 10-year Canadian National Team veteran- During his illustrious international career, represented Canada at two Olympic Games (1984, 1988); three FIBA World Championships (1982, 1986, and 1990); three World University Games (1981, 1983, 1985); one FIBA Americas Olympic Qualification Tournament (1992), and one FIBA Junior Men’s World Championship (1979)
- As a member of the Canadian Men’s National Team, was instrumental in some of this nation’s most memorable performances, including a fourth place finish at the 1984 Summer Games and a sixth place result four years later in Seoul, Korea
- Was also a starter on the famous 1983 World University Games squad which shocked a United States team featuring Charles Barkley and Karl Malone, en route to winning the gold medal
- Prior to achieving success on the international stage, established himself as one of the top CIAU players in the nation by helping lead the University of Victoria to four consecutive National Championships (1980, 1981, 1982, 1983) in his five years with the institution
- As a member of the Vikings, was selected as an All-Canadian player three times, and was twice named the recipient of the Premier’s Athletic Award
- After graduating from Victoria in 1983 with a degree in Economics, was drafted in the 7th round of the 1983 NBA Entry Draft by the Utah Jazz
- As a professional from 1984-92, enjoyed a distinguished career abroad as the 6’9" forward/centre played for clubs in Spain, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Argentina and Mexico
- Continues to be involved with the game and goal setting through local camps and clinics as he shares his knowledge and experience with the game’s future stars
- He lives on Vancouver Island wife his wife Claudia. They have two girls, Sarah and Grace
